Design in place??

Daily routines sometimes don’t allow face to face visits, either in our showroom or your home.  That’s okay!  We can accomplish many objectives with a little creativity, technology and teamwork!

Have a cell phone and a tape measure? Those are the only tools you’ll need.  By taking a few measurements, you’ll help give us the framework to build a design.  Don’t worry, we’ll confirm the dimensions once we are able.  In the meantime, check out some of the checklist for our design consultation. Ready to go virtual? Here are some steps to get you going:

• Grab your phone and snap some pictures of your space.  We’ll always have ideas, but a picture is worth 1,000 words!
  • Try to take wide angle shots that give us an overview of your entire space
  • The more pictures the better!
  • If your remodeling dreams include changes to lighting, remember to take a picture of your ceiling
• Grab your tape measure
  • No need to be an architect or draftsman, but general dimensions will help us get closer to your design.  Sketch the floor plan, then measure each wall from corner to corner.  Mark the dimension.  It’s easy!
  • Measure the height of the ceiling.
  • Mark location and width of doorways
  • Mark location and width of windows
• Have you seen something you like on Houzz or Pinterest?  Consider sharing with us!  We’ll instantly know your likes/dislikes and will be able to easily tailor our discussions to what works well for your family.
• Consider the budget.  There are lots of conflicting messages out there about the cost of remodeling, so it’s understandable if you feel confused.  We’ll help you through all that. In the meantime, check out these tools for a good first step:
